I should have stated that the jug appeared halved internaly.
The excess drained out of the overflow until it was down to the level it should be...
Yes, once it is noticed it must be cleaned up/ covered. If it is too bad the player must sit out

it could be the themostat housing gasket
i had the same prob i have a 97 Vw beetle and i noticed the coolant looked muddy and very thick smelt like oil i was told it was normal two days latter my red light turned on letting me know it was over heating, so i took it to the vw car dealers and it came up that i needed a new oil cooler coolant reservoir and a complete coolant and the radiator flushed
Have you noticed your engine temperature gauge running cooler than normal ? A thermostat that is sticking open will make the engine run cooler and cause the P0125 trouble code , also - coolant level low - faulty engine coolant temperature sensor
I have the same thing, it only happens When there is damp air outside, it comes through the air filter and breather pipes causing condensation. I cleaned the breather pipes that come from theair filterand that was better for a while but it started again. I have noticed it on other makes aswell, so unless your coolant level is dropping, (most likely the head gasket which I have had done £300), it's not a problem.
Do you mean P0125 ? Insufficient coolant temperature for closed loop fuel control The causes could be : low engine coolant level leaking or stuck open thermostat malfunctioning ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor Have you noticed your engine temperature gauge running cooler ? If so it is most likely the thermostat sticking open
You should look under your vehicle while its running. If you haven't noticed a puddle of coolant on the drive way, you may have a bad head/gasket. Does the car smoke? If it does, your head gasket is gone. Check your engine oil. If it looks like muddy water on the dipstick, you've got coolant mixed with the engine oil. If you see coolant on the ground, you may have a bad water pump. First, check your radiator hoses. Remember to check the hoses going into the heater core as well.
If you are getting coolant inside the car your Heater core is leaking but if only smelling coolent. The hose on the exterior maybe the issue and it maybe that the sound blanket in that area where the ends of the heater core pass thru the firewall is asborbing coolent hence the smell. This should give you a starting point hope it helps.
