DC cannot travel very far until it begin to lose energy, but AC can be made high or low by "Transformers".DC can also be transformed but it is a bit difficult than transforminf AC.AC transmission loses less energy because as current altenates the loss is reduced i.e when voltage is at +peak more loss and at -ve peak loss is less.in this way the loss is less in AC transmission.
The fact that it is alternating. AC means Alternating Current. DC means Direct Current.
Alternating current means that the voltage increases, then decreases, then changes polarity and increases, then back to zero. The change in voltage like this normally follows a sinusoidal wave form (or sine wave).
AC Current can be made simply by rotating magnetic field inside a coil. This is the basis of an electrical generator called an Alternator.
As the North and South poles pass over the coil, in a rotary motion, it can be seen how the output from the coil will vary as suggested above.
It is actually harder to make DC current from a rotating electrical generator. The magnetic field has to be interrupted and started again using several coil windings. This requires a rotating switch called a commutator, and carbon brushes. (which spark and wear out).
DC current is more commonly made by a chemical reaction, such as a battery. The polarity does not change on the terminals and as long as there are active chemicals, a potential difference is provided.
Inverters can be used to convert DC to AC. By using electronics a DC current can be turned into an AC current (mimicking an alternator), using oscillators and switching transistors.
DC current is not used in home wiring. It may be used to power a door bell, alarm system, under counter lights, etc, that uses a transformer powered by AC that converts the power to DC. Other than that homes are wired for AC current only.
Of the three choices, capacitance does not limit current flow in an AC circuit.
Throughout the world the system used for home electrification is alternating current (AC).
An ac adapter converts ac current into dc current through a rectifier, and a battery charger outputs dc current at an adjustable powerful charging rate and also converts ac current to dc current to charge different sizes of batteries.
Alternating current (AC) naturally flows both ways as it swings from positive to negative 60 times a second.
some things requre a dc (direct current) rather than an ac (alternating current)
no actually dc current is more dangerous than ac because dc is a direct current and has no current zero condition ,which is very dangerous and do not leave us if we get shock while ac current leave us when we get shock
Alternating current (AC) is easier to transmit over long distances than is direct current (DC).
No, the one for a vehicle "with AC" is longer because of the extra pulley (compressor) the belt has to travel around.
because the transmission cost of ac supply is lesser than dc. thats why ac is prefered

DC, or direct current, is stronger than AC, or alternating current. The reason for this is because DC current is smooth and unvariable as opposed to AC which varies from zero to whatever the maximum is, and then goes back to zero once again.
DC direct current is be coming more popular than AC alternating current AC is not really suitable for some devices maybe your device is needing low current

AC
You can block AC current by using a filter with a pass-band that is outside the frequency of the AC current.
There's no correlation between the voltage, the current, and whether the source is AC or DC.
