One of the door ajar switches is showing an open door. The switches are part of the latches inside the door.
Check the brakers that are activated by the doors, if one of them is broken then the lghts will stay on forever. Don´t forget trunk compartment light if there is one or the light in the engine bay.
According to the Owners Manual, fuse #29. See "Related Questions" below for more - especially if your dome lights stay on and you're getting a 'door ajar' chime/warning.
Either by opening a door or turning on the interior switch...
Try closing the doors?
where you turn on the headlights ... push the button
I had this issue turned out to be one of the switches on the door. Does the dash show any door ajar lights? If so start on that door
dome lights do not work. checked the fuse which is ok. checked the bulbs which are also ok. where is the problem
First shut all the doors then use your light switch to turn off or on dome lights if that doesn't work it could be a bad door pin switch
you have a short to ground . have it check soon ! could be a door switch .
The dome light and floor lights on a 94 Ford Probe will not go off if the door is open or the door sensor has not been tripped. The lights can be manually turned off but the sensor should be checked for defects.
If you don't have an owners manual then I would think you would disable them using the light switch. Try pushing the dome light switch twice quickly, you should hear a bell chime. If you hear the chime, then the lights are disabled. Push the dome light twice quickly again, and that should reactivate the lights and you'll hear the chime again. If none of this works, depress the park brake pedal a couple of clicks down, that may work.
one or more fuses blown
