Why does GPS work in a tunnel but satellite radio doesn't?
Many GPS units will show your position based on the path you were following when the signal was lost. If you were to go into a tunnel with your GPS unit off and turn it on while in the tunnel it wouldn't show your position.

They also have local repeaters that allow you to get a better signal even if you are in a major city or even in a tunnel. yes but you watch, that free radio that we get now will be gone soon enough because of this satilite radio the same thing just happened to tv's if you didnt have sat. or cable you could watch cbc or somethin on the news but now theyve cut all thoughs free channeles off
