Not all McDonald's restaurants play Fox News. I live in Boston and do business in a number of cities and I do not see Fox on the air in the places I've been. Perhaps this is only in your local area, and undoubtedly it is because the owner of the McDonald's franchise in that area believes Fox is what everyone wants to watch. Corporate owners rarely tell their franchisees what stations to play: in fact, when a station is going to be played, most suggest something that is perceived as neutral, like CNN or a local news station, while others don't play cable TV at all. Now and then, a conservative owner will insist upon Fox (and I also see Fox on the air in some bars and restaurant lounges), but I can tell you this is not an official McDonald's policy!
