He didn't. He tried to in Halloween 2 though. What happened was his mother, Deborah Myers, whom died after giving birth to Angel Myers, the sister your asking about now, wanted Angel dead so she could be with the rest of the family, so she gets Michael to kill her but instead Angel saves herself and kills him instead.

∙ 12y agoIn the original there wasn't a reason, he was just evil. In Halloween 6 they tried to give him a reason; Michael has been marked with a runic symbol called Thorn, an ancient Druid curse that drives a young man to wipe out his entire family for the good of civilization. In the remake he had a bad childhood, and really only loved his mother and baby Laurie and wanted to be reunited with her until she hurt him. The Thorn storyline is ignored in H20 and HR so like the original and Halloween II he doesn't have a reason for wanting to kill Laurie, he's back to being evil.

Just what I've gathered so far. There is no runic curse in the new remakes he doesnt want to kill laurie he loves her just like he loved his mother he just wants her back and hell kill anyone who gets in his way he goes alil more haywire in the new halloween 2 because laurie turned on him in the first but in the end he gets her back she becomes crazy and thats that
