The Seven Commandments of Animal Farm are as follows: 1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy 2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend 3. No animal shall wear clothes 4. No animal shall sleep in a bed 5. No animal shall drink alcohol 6. No animal shall kill any other animal 7. All animals are equal The commandments change over time to suit the needs of the greedy, power hungry leaders (Napoleon, Squeeler, etc). The saying goes 'Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely'. When the pigs discover the wonder of alcohol, they add in excess to the fifth commandment. When Napoleon discovers the comfort of a bed, the fourth commandment is changed to No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets, and so on
Benjamin reads the Fourth Commandment to Clover in George Orwell's "Animal Farm." The Fourth Commandment states, "No animal shall sleep in a bed." Clover is initially confused by the change in the commandment that she remembers, thinking it initially prohibited animals from sleeping in beds with sheets.
The words "with sheets" is added after the pigs move into the farmhouse.
After pigs were discovered sleeping in a bed the commandment was changed from, "No animal shall sleep in a bed" to"No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets"
No animal shall drink alcohol in excess
Napoleon has Squealer secretly paint over the Seven Commandments so that they express favor to the pigs without the other animals becoming suspicious of the pigs violating the laws. For instance, one of the original Commandments stated:"No animal shall sleep in a bed."Squealer is then employed by Napoleon to change it to:"No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets."
Trundle beds for children are relatively easy to change sheets on. All that needs to be done is the mattress picked up and sheets switched.
It is a chemical change, because when cotton is being woven into sheets, we cannot change sheets into cotton again, hence it is difficult to reverse.
Physical
This is a physical change.
It is not necessary to change the bed skirt at the same time as the sheets because your not sleeping on it. Wash the bed skirt when it looks like it is dusty or not clean.
Squealer represents the media. Squealer continually changes his story in order to get the animals to believe what Napoleon wants them to believe. Every time the animals think that things are not right, Squealer comes to tell them a new story that explains how everything is ok. For example, when the animals see the pigs breaking the "No Animal Shall Sleep in a Bed" commandment, Squealer alters the story slightly to "No Animal Shall Sleep in a bed with sheets" making the pigs in compliance with the rules of Animal Farm.
