Because nuclear energy is the only viable means of producing large amounts of energy in the absence of fossil fuels. Yes, there are alternative sources of energy out there, but the technology is not ready for large scale operation. Nuclear is here now - Alternatives might be here in 30 to 50 years, or more. Yes, there are risks involved, but it is a matter of proper comparison of risk versus benefit and, when you objectively look at the big picture, without some of the fanaticism that we have on both sides of the coin, you discover that nuclear energy is better.
Obama Does not like solar energy and i have to agree with him its a waste of money and our time we should just stick with our fuel.
I think it is pretty reliable these days, and safe, but many people do not agree that it is safe, and it is certainly expensive to build.
agree
Yes, Obama has come out in favor of building new, safe, nuclear power plants.
no
I agree that Mccain would have sucked and Obama was the best choice. That is why he won.
Nuclear energy is a faustian bargain. OR A faustian pact with nuclear energy. Even if you don't agree, the idea is that 'faustian' is an adjective typically describing a deal or pact (presumably with the devil or something associated with or compared to the devil).
Yes, I strongly agree.
Nuclear fusion produces nuclear energy
The energy released is nuclear energy.
Nuclear fission is a type of nuclear reaction that converts nuclear energy into thermal energy (heat), which can then be used to generate mechanical energy (such as electricity). So, fission nuclear energy originates as nuclear energy and can be converted into mechanical energy.
The energy stored in an atom's nucleus is nuclear energy. This energy is released through processes like nuclear fusion or fission, which involve manipulating the nucleus of an atom to release large amounts of energy.
