Why do Serbs and Albanians hate each other?

Serbs are tolerant people .

They do not HATE Muslims , but they can not forget what happened in history ..

-Serbs had conflict with Ottoman empire ( Turkey, Muslims ) , who tortured them horribly , and ruled Serbian lands around 300 years.

To survive , many Serbs had to forget Christianity , and make Islam their confession ..

(Now they call themselves Bosnians )

In civil war in Yugoslavia (1991.) , Al Qaeda terrorists (supporting Bosnians) slaughtered around 500 Serbs.

Albanians are Muslims too . They declared independence of the oldest Serbian land Kosovo and Metohija , and killed around 2000 Serbs.

Some of them were victims of the human organ trafficking

It's not a good idea to talk about everyone in one country "hating" everyone in Another Country. People aren't just stereotypes based on their nationality - they are individuals who have their own views. *******************

The war between Serbs and Croats had its origins partly in the breakup of Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was a federation that contained many different self-governing states: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia.

Even though the people in these states had different cultures and religions (for example, many Bosnians are Muslims, while most Serbs are Orthodox and most Slovenians and Croatians are Catholic), the Yugoslav federation lasted for most of the twentieth century.

Yugoslavia started to fall apart in the early 1990's because some of the states thought that Serbians were too dominant in the federation. Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina all fought wars against the Yugoslav federal government to gain their independence.

In the case of Croatia the war was complicated by two factors. Firstly, Croats and Serbs have had an unpleasant history - during the Second World War, Yugoslavia was occupied by the Nazis and a fascist Croation group called the Ustashe took power. This group violently repressed Serbs and other non-Croat groups. This made many Serb people resentful of Croats.

Secondly, in Croatia itself, a minority of the population is actually Serbian, and did not want to become part of an independent Croatian state where they would be a minority. They therefore fought their own civil war against the Croatian government, with the secret support of the Serb-dominant element in the Yugoslav government. They committed atrocities against the Croatian population, just like the Croats had done to Serbs during World War II.

The war by the Serbs in Croatia to gain their own independence was unsuccesful. The European Union and NATO managed to negotiate a ceasefire which gave Croatia its independence.

I dont think Albanians hate serbians but they are diferent, albanians want peace, independence and freedom while serbs want to expand all the time,

that makes albanians feel constant thratened and therefore don like serbians.

If serbians change and stop trying to advance into albanian lands and spread Propaganda about albanians I think albanians and serb will slowly start to feel more comfortable being neighbouurs with Serbia.

Largely, the Albanians and the Serbs do not get along due to that old bugaboo, religious differences. Unfortunately, the Serbs, who are mostly Christian, have been subject to "ethnic cleansing" - a phrase that anyone who has studied the Holocaust should be terrified by - by the primarily Muslim Albanians.

Because they do. Long ago there might have been a logical reason for it, but now the reason is simply "we hate them because they hate us, and because we always have hated them".

i don't think Albanian's hate Greece but they definitely hate Serbia because Serbia burn the united states flag and Serbians did so many bad things
