The server version should be in the title bar. The client version is in the bottom left corner of the main menu. If they're not the same then it won't work.
Just Google Terraria servers and copy the ip address into the multiplayer slot on terraria.

There are no main server on terraria so I would suggest google searching "terraria servers" and see what comes up. I have done this and been on multiplayer.
Probably because your client is not the same version as the server. The server lists its own version information in the console (near the top). Also make sure the server isn't lagging.

Sorry but is not possible to get free Hearts Shards in Terraria. Unless someone on a server with you is nice enough to drop a Heart Shard for your liking.
There may be several reasons you would be unable to connect to your own server on Minecraft. First check to make sure you have not typed in the Ip address wrong. Second, make sure you are running the latest Minecraft server software(You have to download a new version after every Minecraft update). Thirdly, you cannot connect to a server using the computer that is running the said server.

I got counter strike source non-steam version. For some reason i can only find Russian jailbreak servers. I really want to find English speaking jailbreak server but when i type connect ip. i can't really connect any American server that i found on internet. can you tell me some working servers and how to do connect them?
