I wouldn't say hate, but are cautious. There is over 60 years of history with Russian politics and policies. The Russian government is still communist and still wants to destroy democracy so they do things to sow the seeds of discontent and distrust of democracy. We have a tendency to think there are no spies and that the Russian government is a friend. It is the opposite. The Russian officials invited into the Oval Office the other day are spies.
