Uranus was knocked off its axis by an extremely large object passing through space.

On its side.
It causes Uranus to rotate on it's side ( in respect to the other planets in the solar system)
Uranus. It doesn't roll like a barrel though.

It spins on its side a 90 degree angle. Scientists think space debris or another planet hit Uranus.
Uranus and Venus both rotate 'backwards', spinning clockwise when veiwed from above.
If you look at the entire solar system, all the planets, except Uranus, rotate in the same direction. If you call north up, then all planets rotate on that axis except for Uranus. Uranus spins on it's side in this model. While all the other planets spin on the North/South axis, Uranus spins on the East/West axis.
Uranus is the only outer planet (and only planet in our solar system) that rotates on its side.
It is still debated what exactly caused Uranus to rotate on its side. The most popular theory was that a large object struck it near one of its poles and basically knocked it over.
The axis of rotation for Uranus is on its side. Thus, instead of appearing to spin like a child's top, it appears more like a barrel roll! YEAH TOAST!!!
If Uranus is rotating I think you should see a doctor
