Windows vista has had major issues with any other software other than Microsoft license software, much the same as xp had when it started also. I highly reccommend XP for at least the next year.

Yes you can because requirement says that' it's OS should be windows 7/vista or xp
Put the game in compatibility mode for Wondows 98/ME and change the color set to windows standard. And just to be on the safe side run the game as an administator.
Yes you can play it on Vista. You do have to change the color setting.
Lego Island 1 was only released on the PC back in 1997 and never released on the Mac. As a result, the only way to play it on a Mac would be to run Windows on the Mac using virtual machine software such as VMWare. You can then install any Windows software while running Windows on the Mac.
