Early production coupes in 1986 had issues with cracking around the head attachments, and may suck air and run rough. You may need to replace with the later version aluminum heads.
A 1994 Corvette might run rough when the temperature of the engine reaches 180 degrees Fahrenheit because of a blown head gasket. This is also a symptom of a cracked block.
Carb overhaul time ... the carb isn't getting enough fuel on its own. Either that or there is a serious vacuum leak someplace.
They had carburetors back in the days of old (pre-1980's). If they weren't adjusted just right or operating properly they ran rough until the engine warmed up.

1992 lt1 corvette runs good until it reaches 190 degrees the starts rough idel and backfires/ the car would kinda run rich in its past with black smoke at times
i have an 84 tercel with the same problem, it takes alittle gas to keep her goin but once warmed up it runs great, i fix a few small vacuum leaks and that helped alot but i still have the problem, let me know if you find the culprit

Sometimes an ignition coils will break down under heat and not fire properly. Start there and see if it helps. Billy
