I found out with my Yukon that it needed a new IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve. The first timeit happened to me the dealership only cleaned it without replacing it, but it did it again, and I replaced it myself. Idles a great deal better now and doesn't sputter or idle down. Try that.
AnswerI own a 2001 Yukon Denali w/a 6.0 Litre. Basically the same problem. Believe it or not, fuel injector cleaners are not enough to correct this problem. Pull the air intake hose off the front of the throttle body & use spray THROTTLE BODY cleaner NOT CARB CLEANER. Works like a charm!! Drive for a couple days & repeat. This is a very common problem on all Yukon's & Tahoes..Good Luck!!!
Thank you for the help I went with the Throttle body cleaner trick Worked like a charm gave me just enough rpm to keep the idle smooth and saved me alot of money for the Idle control valve

Because its overheating.
There is no adjustment you should mess with. The ECM maintains the correct idle unless you have problems like vacuum leaks.
nothing like the usa
Cold
2003 Yukon Denali body style
sounds like a pair of wires are on the wrong plugs.
a tarrein
yes
if its only on idle it sounds like a bad injector
Yukon, Canada, is rugged mountains and high plateaus, so the terrain is rough.
Hi, The battery has enough power to turn the starter, but not enough to run the computer. You can test it this way. As you try to start the engine, give it a little gas to keep the engine running above idle. If it runs above idle then dies at idle it is the battery. I have had this happen twice in the 10 years with my 2000 Durango.
