have your crankshaft positioning sensor checked.mine would die when i would slow down or come to a stop.

yeah the CPS( CAMshaft Positioning Sensor) has a recall on it on all diesel model 350's so take it to a Ford dealership and they will replace free of charge, although mine has been replaced 3 times becuz they keep goin bad just keep an eye on it and most tuners read DTC's and will read that code and tell you

First what year/engine? 6.9/7.3/6.0/6.4/6.7, lots of Ford diesel engines out there and they all have their unique issues. BTW, if its a 15 year old 7.3L for example, I will be shocked if Ford will replace the CPS for you at N/C.
