Because of gravity exerting a downwards force on the rider and bike.
Downhill, they can hit 50 MPH/80 KMH, or even more.
The bicycle speedometer odometer offers features such as tracking speed, distance traveled, time spent cycling, average speed, maximum speed, and sometimes even calories burned. These features help cyclists monitor their performance and progress during rides.
The maximum speed a bike can reach when going downhill depends on various factors such as the slope of the hill, the weight of the rider, and wind resistance. In general, a well-maintained bike with a skilled rider can reach speeds of 30-50 miles per hour or even higher when going downhill. It is important for riders to always prioritize safety and wear appropriate protective gear when riding at high speeds.
I'm assuming here that you're talking about a cruiser style bicycle. First off a bicycle doesn't anywhere, at any speed without a rider. And a strong rider can do crazy things even on the most inappropriate bicycle. Likewise a weak rider will struggle even with the best bike. With that said, cruiser bikes aren't built for speed and efficiency. Expect 10-15 MPH on the flat with reasonable effort.
downhill works better even though flat ground works too
Rivers, lakes, canals, even sewers are bodies of water that flow downhill in a channel.
The bike. Even though you and the bike are in motion the positions do not change.
The weight of the cycle and the person act vertically down (perpendicular to the level ground). This weight can be considered as two components, one perpendicular to the incline and the other along the incline which when added to the speed of the moving cycle increases it.
I have clock 30 to 40 MPH going down hill on some of the Welsh mountain passes. But, usually, on the flat, I would average 12 to 15 MPH. Even less if into a headwind.
You can buy a used bicycle in Hong Kong at local stores, classified ads, or even vendors on the street.
Actually, a cyclist is. The chemical energy from the food that the cyclist ate is being changed into the kinetic energy on the bicycle. Even if the cyclist is traveling at a constant speed, there is some degree of resistance that must be overcome in order to maintain the constant speed.
The primary purpose of a low rider bicycle is not uncommon from the purpose of a low rider vehicle. It is mostly for appearances and it's even said that low rider bikes are more difficult to operate than a normal bicycle.
