It becomes a caterpillar because it eats alot of leaves and then becomes fat then soon it will turn into a pupa or another word which is chrysalis
The pupa is the stage of metamorphosis during which a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly.
pupa
The pupa is the baby caterpillar just emerged out from the larvae stage and the grown up is known as a caterpillar
pupa
it goes in a pupa.
the caterpillar will turn into a small brown pupa hidden in the leaf which will then emerge as a small brown moth.
Actually, I don't really know...
no because how would it make all those changes
The process of which a butterfly is born is called metamorphosis. This process begins with a little egg, when the egg hatches a caterpillar emerges. Once the caterpillar has finished growing they form into a chrysalis (pupa), which is where the caterpillar begins to change to the butterfly. Once the changing process is over a butterfly emerges from the pupa.
A caterpillar and a pupa are both soft without exoskeletons
A caterpillar is in the Larva stage. When it goes into it's cocoon it will be in the pupa stage. When it hatches, it will become a butterfly (and therefore be in the adult stage)
It depends on the time of year. If the caterpillar turned into a pupa near the beginning of summer than it would stay in the pupa for two weeks. If the caterpillar pupated near the end of summer or fall, then it will stay in the pupa all winter and hatch next summer.
