Best Answer

The fiddler crab has stalked eyes because it helps to see around it more. The eyes are above the crab instead of being just in front of it, so if a predator comes around, it might have more of a chance of getting away

Animals who have eyes on stalks have them because it helps them to see better. Think about what you can see from where you are standing. Now imagine if you were standing on a stool. You can see more from higher up, so lobsters, shrimp, snails, slugs, and crabs have eyes on stalks.

Having eyes on stalks helps crabs to adapt and survive by allowing them to see over higher objects. They can also see predators more easily than those with lower positioned eyes.
