Giraffes only sleep for about 20 minutes per day because they must be alert and watch for predators. They usually sleep while standing because when they lie down it can take too long for them to get back up if a predator were to attack.

Becuse they're a prey animal. Of they sleep they become someone else's meal.

to retain his energy,does not take them long too retain it. They mostly are animals that stay awake more than stay sleeping.
