It is not the teabag that colours the water but the tea leaves which are inside the bag, They contain various chemicals and some of these dissolve in water giving it the characteristic flavour and colour of tea.
Soluble pigments fron the tea are extracted in the boiling water.
This teabag was steeped in boiling hot water for about ten minutes.
I poured the boiling hot water over my teabag, and read a few pages of the new John Grisham novel as my tea steeped.
There are certain colourant added to the teabag, when the teabag hits water, the colurants discintergrate into the water :D
My mother didn't, actually, but if one's mother did, it was probably to start cooling it right away to reduce the chance that the glass would crack. The spoon draws away the heat and releases it to the air. So while you may need to pour boiling water over a teabag, it does what it needs to to the teabag and then quickly starts to cool.
First, you will need a teacup, a bag of your favorite tea, and some water. You will then boil the water. When it is boiling, add the water to the teacup. Place the teabag in the teacup for a period of time between 30 and 60 seconds, and then remove the teabag. Add milk and/or sugar as desired. Let cool! Do not be a silly person who drinks it while it is hot and burns their tongue! Enjoy!
Teabag in hot water
This is a very strange question since I have never personally seen this happin. I can however give some possiability's # Perhaps some of the tea leaves leaked out of the bag and are continuing to brew making the tea darker. # Sometimes right when you take out the tea bag the tea colors are all at the bottom and when you stir the water it floats to the top creating an evenly colored cup of tea. # Sometimes if you add something to the tea like sugar or honey it can slightly darken the tea color. I am really not sure about this it is very interesting, but I will tell you that it will do nothing to endanger your health and should taste exactly the same.
A teabag separates the tea leaves from the water, keeping the leaves from getting into the water. Tea leaves have a strong flavor that can be off-putting when ingested, and a teabag prevents the accidental ingestion of tea leaves.
teabags work by - the waters soaks the tea leaves flavour up into it and the actually bag keeps the leaves from leaving the bag - by squeezing the teabag u get the flavour ofthe leaves without the leaves :)
