You've got the same amount of matter, right? They have the same mass: 0.1 kg. Will the hot and cold air occupy the same volume? NO!!! The hot air is less dense, which means it occupies MORE volume per unit mass than the cold air. So, if you have equal masses of hot and cold air, the hot air will have greater volume.
