I wish I knew; I find that quite irritating. I'm just glad that there are no more than five such counties in the United States: one in Oregon, one in Idaho, one in Nebraska and two in North Dakota. It's bad enough that we have so many states divided between time zones, but when we're splitting counties, that's absolutely ridiculous (IMHO).
No part of Kentucky is in the Mountain Time Zone. Counties east of and including Meade, Hardin, Larue, Taylor, Casey, Pulaski and Wayne are in the Eastern Time Zone. Counties west of and including Breckinridge, Grayson, Hart, Green, Adair, Russell and Clinton are in the Central Time Zone.

No, Colorado is entirely in the US Mountain Time Zone.
You would think that it would be, but actually Indiana is mostly in the Eastern time zone. 12 western counties of Indiana are in the Central Time zone and 80 eastern counties are in the Eastern Time zone. All of Wisconsin and most of Texas are in the Central Time Zone.
no, it is the most western part of the eastern time zone. Most of Michigan is in Eastern Standard Time & Eastern Daylight Saving Time. Only the four counties in Upper Michigan that border Wisconsin are in Central Standard Time & Central Daylight Saving Time.
Most of Texas is in the Central Time Zone. The two counties at the far west end of Texas, south of New Mexico where El Paso is, are in the Mountain Time Zone.
That would depend on what part of Florida and Michigan you are talking about. All of Michigan is in the Eastern Time Zone except for the 4 counties in the Upper Peninsula that border Wisconsin. Those four counties are in the Central Time Zone. All of Florida is in the Eastern Time Zone except for the counties located in the panhandle west of the Apalachicola River. Those counties are in the Central Time Zone. So, depending on the locations in Michigan and Florida, the times could be the same, the location in Florida could be one hour ahead of the location in Michigan, or the location in Florida could be one hour behind the location in Michigan.
Michigan is divided between two time zones. The four counties of Upper Michigan that share a land border with Wisconsin are in the Central Time Zone. The rest of the state is in the Eastern Time Zone.
