Well basically the name Wile E. Coyote was a play on words for "wily coyote", so it doesn't really stand for anything. However, there are many sources that say it stands for "Ethelbert". What the origin of that is, or who said it, I don't know. But as far as I know, it never had an actual name it stood for.
