Why does cocaine make you vomit?

The reason you poop when you take ecstasy is because it causes the release of a large amount of serotonin. Serotonin causes diarrhea. Serotonin also causes the euphoria (hence similar drugs that increase serotonin are used as anti-depressants). The active substance in ecstasy is MDMA which is also an amphetamine.

It should not make you vomit from shooting it up, but if your eating it of snorting it it sure is possible and this is why. For one thing cocaine is very commonly cut with laxatives, I also believe cocaine is a laxative itself. When you snort it your nose releases mucus to clean the forn substance from your system causing a runny nose. So naturaly you either blow your nose or swallow it the drip. most would swallow rather then blow the product out your nose. So by swallowing it your eating it and the drip can taste so bad it will make you puke. Also, like most drugs cocaine is a poison that destroys your body, so naturaly when you do it your body imediately tried to remove it from your system. you do this by sweating, suddenly you will have to urinate or have a bowel movement, and you will get probably gas. I kind of ran on there, sorry.

Because cocaine bought on the street is generally cut with other substances, this frequently includes laxatives, if you were to move to a country where cocaine is legal you would not be having that problem.

Cocaine doesn't constipate you.. In fact it can often has the opposite effect and make you want the toilet.. Opiates constipate you, ie: Heroin, Morphine, Methadone..etc

However, if you are comming off of cocaine, then you may get constipation.. Cocaine is a stimulant, like speed(amphetamine), and caffine, they can make you need the toilet and some if not all are diuretic, meaning you will want to pass urine more often than normal. Additionally, stimulants like cocaine, methamphetamine, and even caffeine cause dehydration and dry mouth due to being diuretic amongst other things such as elevating heart beat, increase in body temperature..

Opiates will cause constipation in as little as one dose, Looking at the effects of cocaine on the body, It would seem if you abused a lot of cocaine and didn't replace your body fluids properly over a prolonged period of time then maybe there is a chance that you would become constipated. Cocaine is often cut with Manitol though which is a laxative..

So in short, if you have constipation and use cocaine, I would be looking for other reasons that you are constipated before you start blaming the cocaine.
