He wants to show the world that he is the only one who can kill Makarov. He wants to tell a big lie. In short, Sheperd just used you, Ghost and the others to get the information about Makarov. He wants to be a HERO.

∙ 12y agoHe wanted Makarov's Intel for himself so he could send his personal troops after him. Then he most likely would have escaped to the Swiss Alps where you would infiltrate at the end of MW3, that is if you didn't throw a knife in his face first ;p
