Gold and platinum will no react with HNO3 due to their low reactivity. Aluminum also will not react with HNO3 despite its relatively high reactivity because it has a protective layer of aluminum oxide on it.
of course since the item is metal (precious) it will show on your metal detector unless of course you've blocked gold or nickel .

Gold is a very unreactive element, so it occurs as gold metal in nature. However, aluminum is more reactive, and so it occurs in aluminum ore (aluminum oxide) in nature, not as aluminum metal.
