I believe the reason that ice melts faster on granite is because granite is a very dense "hard & non porous" surface. Therefore, water molecules are not able to penetrate the surface as far and when ice forms on the top of the surface it looses its bond faster. On a surface like concrete where the water molecules can penetrate, the ice forms on the surface and below the surface as well thus taking longer to melt. This is just an educate guess?
I'd like to add that granite holds heat longer than many materials also.
Salt makes Ice Melt Faster
Ice cream will melt faster than yogurt, as yogurt does not melt.
Water has a higher temperature in ice causing it to melt faster.
Ice cubes melt faster in a more heated place or situation.
The sun will melt the ice faster cause it is warm.
which ice cream melts faster
Paprika will NOT melt ice.
An ice cube will melt faster in hot water.
yes ice cream does melt faster than frozen yogurt because it has ice and cream in it that makes it melt faster and frozen yogurt has yogurt in it which makes it thicker and since its frozen it makes it even more thicker so ice cream does melt faster than frozen yogurt.thats why ice cream is faster melt than yogurt.
It will melt faster as the melting point of ice is higher than that of ice the salt with absorb the heat of the ice.
it melts faster with salt
Ice melts faster in water
