That is a tell tell sign that your problem is eletrical. Mabey a bad relay
No, you can only turn it off by either letting it run out of battery, or turning it off via the iPod itself.
It will run until the vehicle is level off. Then it should stop.
well, if it like my 97 turn the key to run ( not start ) 3 times ( off to run, off to run, off to run ) and watch the odometer.
Key on, off, on, off, on.
1.) Insert ignition key 2.) Move the key from LOCK TO OFF, THEN PAUSE, 3.) Move ignition key to ON/RUN 4.) Move ignition key BACK TO OFF 5.) Move ignition key to ON/RUN 6.) Move ignition key BACK TO OFF 7.) Move ignition key to ON/RUN and STOP THERE! The THREE MOVEMENTS from OFF to ON/RUN should be done in LESS THAN FIVE (5) SECONDS. You then read the codes where the truck's odometer shows TOTAL MILES, NOT TRIP MILES. (NOTE: FOR EXACT LOCATION OF KEY POSITIONS ON IGNITION REFER TO YOUR OWNERS MANUAL.)
Don't run off to the Supply Room right away. You only get the key after you complete the "Forgery Detection Training". (see related question)
Yes, key on, engine off, the fuel gauge should work.
It is one of the constant key word and it is used only in run time
Key Programming -- SpareCycle the ignition switch from OFF to RUN using a programmed key. After the anti-theft indicator goes off, remove the key.Within 15 seconds, insert a new encoded key into the ignition. wait till the anti-theft indicator goes off, turn key to Run/ START
Have you tried changing the ignition switch?
There is no fuel shut off on the vehicle, but as long as the key is off no more fuel will be pumped out of the tank. If you are changing the fuel filter only what is in the lines will run out. If the fuel pump is a problem pull the fuse.
Should work 1999-2006 Pontiac Montana. To create spare key: 1) Place alread programmed key into ignition. Cycle ignition from OFF - ON(RUN) - OFF. 2) Within 15 seconds, insert the new transponder key in the ignition. 3) Turn the key to ON(RUN) or START. 4) The theft "Security" light will go on then off. Turn key to "OFF" position. 5) The key will now start the vehicle.
