I just purchased a used STX38 and used it twice, the first time no problem, this time it seemed to be hot, I turned it off to talk with a neighbor and later when I tried to start it it would hum then tried to turn over but just a small try. Not sure what the problem is. Says it was made between 1988-1997, it has a Kohler 12.5 hp.
Not even sure now if the $300.00 I paid for it is worth it. I read that it has relay and ignition problems with this model, the ignition switch was replaced by the previous owner.
Did you figure out your problem?
cold start sensor or weak fuel pump
After about 30 minutes of not running.
cam position sensor has failed
A 1995 Ford F150 will start to die after running for about 15 minutes if the fuel or electrical system have a failure. A bad battery or electrical system will also prevent it from restarting.
Yes it is definitely the ignition control, i had the very same problem. Once my car was hot it would stall out usually about 10 to 15 minutes after running the car. After about 15 minutes after it would start. Mostly all 5.0.'s suffer from this problem.
Squats and running really helps! if you are a starters you should start 10 minutes of walking and add 5 minutes everyday
Absolutely not. Talk to a doctor, make sure you are healthy enough and maybe try to lose some of your gut before you start. The trick is to start slowly with interval training. Mix walking with your running and be very disciplined in the timing of the intervals. For example start with 1 minute running and two minutes walking and slowly increase your running times keeping the walking interval at one to two minutes. Try to add a minute of running every week. Don't worry about speed and be aware of what is going on in your body.
Put a voltage meter on the battery, Note the reading, and start the engine, the reading now with it running should be higher. I would be happy seeing 13 to 14.5 volts on the meter with it running.
If your engine is over heating it could get too hot and quit running, then start again when it gets cooled off. Otherwise, "something" got too hot and quit working, cools off and works again.
Nothing!
car start and drives fine bu when its turned off it wont start until it cools?
It maybe the Thermostat if it bad the 4.3 will quit and not start untile it cools down
