Johnny prefers it when his dad is hitting him because, as he says, it is these times when Johnny feels like his father knows that he is there.
there, well Johnny likes it better when the old man is hitting him because when he is out around he don't even know he's gone. But see, when his father is hitting him his father knows he is there.. Johnny always liked attention.
He likes it because he realizes that atleast his father knows that he is there, and that he exists.

Well, honey, Johnny doesn't actually enjoy getting smacked around by his old man. It's more about feeling something, anything, other than the emptiness and neglect he faces at home. Abuse is never okay, but in Johnny's messed up world, it's sadly a twisted form of attention and a break from feeling invisible.
Johnny hands down. Colton would punch him and it feel like a 3 year old hitting a wall, aka Johnny wouldn't feel a thing. Plus I think Johnny would feel bad for hitting a girl to begin with.
Could be hitting something. Better take it in and have it looked at.
In "The Outsiders," Johnny expresses that he prefers when his father beats him because, in those moments, he feels acknowledged and noticed, even if it's in a negative way. This reflects his deep-seated longing for any form of attention from his abusive father, contrasting with the emotional neglect he experiences otherwise. It highlights Johnny's tragic circumstances and the pain of seeking validation in an unhealthy environment.
void you hit like higher Void for hitting higher, armadyl for hitting high frequently
The person that runs into the church first is Ponyboy, however, he is closely followed by Johnny. It doesn't make Pony a better person. In fact, personally, I like Johnny better!
johnny is like a younger version of dally and dally doesn't want johnny being like him so when johnny wants to turn himself into the cops then dally doesn't want him to because he said that jail toughens him up and he doesn't want johnny to toughen up because if he does he could make some of the same mistakes dally did when he was younger and grow up to be like dally. but dally doesn't want johnny to be like him when he grows up, dally is sort of a father figure for johnny and doesn't want johnny getting hurt. When the church was on fire, dally went to save johnny. Also he doesn't want Johnny to end up like him
Hitting.
he didn't want him to be fazed easily like johnny
