head gasket is blown
the oil level sensor is located on the oil pan. it is screwed into the pan next to the oil filter.
Depending on the engine capacity the oil must be changed in regular service period. The Camaro will require 4.5 L for regular oil change. It can hold 5.5 also.
most likely the head gasket is bad. there will also be coolant in your oil.
5w30 oil, "Green" colored coolant, "Dexron plus three" trans fluid and gasolne
ON a oil dipstick its a sure sign your head gasket is blown. I was lucky once on a camaro where it was just the intake head and not the cylinder head
It might, or it might turn the coolant white or milky or it can end up being dark brown globs.
It is not boiling away. I may be going into your oil or on the ground, but boiling away is not an option.
