you probably just over do it:
do these things
let the motor warm up very well
dont book the throttle : jam it open fast
accelerate slowly
the hotter the engine gets the better you can accelerate without killing the engine
good luck
if its a 2-stroke the governer is a little black block that keeps the throttle from opening.so watch the throttle on the carb as you slowly open it.just remove about half of it though or else the throttle will start to close again

If the engine seems to die at wide open throttle when the transmission is in park or neutral, that would be the rev limiter kicking in. If the engine dies at wide open throttle while in drive, I would suspect a damaged/plugged catalytic converter. A vacuum test could verify that. If the vacuum drops off as you increase rpm, you have a restriction in the exhaust system, probably the cat.
Wide open throttle (WOT) is a term used for any engine when the accelerator is held to the floor and the throttle plate(s) are wide open.
the wide open throttle switch sends a signl at wide open throttle the the ecm to richen the mixture by widening the injector pulse, keeping the injector open a bit longer
No.
The switch is to limit the engine RPM if the throttle sticks wide open.
A Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) reports to the ECM how open the throttle is. The signal is sent as voltage to the ECM, and the amount of voltage reports how open the throttle is. The throttle is what allows gasoline to get to the engine, and in a car that is the gas pedal. We would think fo the value as 0% to 100% and any range between.
The computer uses a motor in the throttle body assembly to open the throttle plate. There isn't a separate idle air control motor. The computer uses a motor in the throttle body assembly to open the throttle plate. There isn't a separate idle air control motor.
dirty throttle body can cause staling and low rough idle . remove intake hose open throttle all the way and clean with either carb clean or throttle body cleaner found at any auto store. clean all around the inside of the butterfly and housing.
Check throttle plate in throttle body throat - may be stuck open
Wide Open Throttle.
