The engine of my 1993 Voyager 2.5 Liter dies at wide open throttle. It idles rough. Already did a tune-up and replaced the fuel filter. Seems like it is fuel starved for higher RPMs. Any suggestion?
If the engine seems to die at wide open throttle when the transmission is in park or neutral, that would be the rev limiter kicking in. If the engine dies at wide open throttle while in drive, I would suspect a damaged/plugged catalytic converter. A vacuum test could verify that. If the vacuum drops off as you increase rpm, you have a restriction in the exhaust system, probably the cat.
