My local Toyota dealership tried to trick me into getting a whole new security system put in for about $500. Right before the tow truck arrived I found the answer in my car's manual. ****Grab your steering wheel and start jiggling it back and forth. At the same time, jiggle your key in the ignition and then turn it! This is a security feature to lock the ignition anytime your steering wheel locked. Good luck!
