There are. There are plenty of people on this site who answer questions on this site. The thing is; there are not enough answerers for all the questions that come in. You'll see people on this site with thousands of answers that haven't even put a dent in all the questions on this site. Also many questions go unanswered when they are not categorized because at that point, they are put in the overflowing "uncategorized" category.

People ask inappropriate questions on this site for multiple reasons! A) They have nobody else to ask. B) They are too embarrassed to ask somebody else. C) They are trying to be funny. D) They have personal problems.

Incorrect. I'm always around to answer questions I feel are worth answering. Just make sure you use proper grammar and make it a question SEVERAL people would like to know the answer to.

Nobody will know every answer to the questions on this site, that's why you've got to pick out questions you know the answer to. Some people research questions to find the answers even if they don't directly know the answer. Answering questions increases the world's knowledge, and allows the original asker to benefit.

Any person can answer a question on WikiAnswers, and the answer may be a good one or a poor one. If a question on Maplin Electronics is not being answered on this site it is because nobody using the site has an answer yet.
Where are my answers can't find an answer to anything?
This site works in a somewhat haphazard manner. Anybody is free to answer any question, yet nobody is obligated to answer any question. Some questions don't get answered because they may be too difficult, or nobody currently reading the site knows the answer, or they are badly worded or confusing, or nobody finds them interesting enough to spend the time answering them, or perhaps, we are just too busy answering other questions and didn't get around to yours. But don't give up. You aren't the person who keeps asking how many parts a given animal has, are you? I actually answered one of those questions.
