Because conduction and convection require particles to transfer heat. Space is a vacuum (has no particles in it) so convection and conduction cannot occur.
Radiation can travel through; solids, liquids, gases and it can also pass through a vacuem (where particles are not present). This is because radiation uses waves to emit not particles.
Because in space there are no particles (this is called a vacuum), however conduction and convection require particles to work eg. solids, liquids and gases have particle arrangements. So thermal radiation has to travel through space via radiation as space is a vacuum and particle-less.
it depends on the type of radiation alpha ((type of)nuclear radiation) can't travel through it for very long Infra red (heat) can but is absorbed by the particles in the water as it goes
Because they are waves that do not require a medium through which to propagate. Space is a vacuum with no medium. For instance, sound waves need air through which to travel.

Radiation does not require a medium.
It travels thorough space by radiation. This is possible because radiation does not require particles to travel, so it can travel through a vaccum all that way to reach us! You should learn this in more detail in hight school physics, if you haven't already. Hope that helped a little!
Particles. They can't travel through a vacumm
Visible light and x-rays are both forms of electromagnetic radiation, and do not require a medium to travel through.

Yes they do need particles to travel through!
Convection and conduction require matter to travel through, and there is no matter between Earth and the Sun
