Romeo deceds to go to the party because he was told by Mercutio to go and compaere the ladies at the party to the "beautiful Rosiline," whom Romeo thought he was in live with before he saw Juilet. Not only this but Rosiline was invited to the party so he wanted to go and see her because he was so head over heals for her.
Benvolio convinced Romeo to go to the Capulet's party.

A servant who can't read asks Romeo to read the invitation to the Capulet party out loud so the servant knows who to invite. Romeo decides to go because Rosaline's name is on the invitation and he hopes to see her at the party.
Romeo didn't know of Juliet until the Capulets threw their party. He was originally liked someone else, but Mercutio got Romeo to go to the party to look for someone else.

Romeo and Benvolio attend Capulet's feast because the Capulet servant that was given the party list couldn't read, and on accident bumped into them in the streets. When Romeo was reading the list off to the servant, he read Rosaline's name and decided he wanted to go secretly. At the party is where he encounters Juliet.
To Capulet's party. Benvolio wants to go to get Romeo's mind off Rosaline; Romeo wants to go because she is one of the guests. They plan to sneak in under the wing of the invitation to Mercutio.
