In Act 3 Scene 3 Romeo says "Thou canst not speak of that thou dost not feel. Wert thou as young as I, Juliet thy love, an hour but married, Tybalt murdered, doting like me and like me banished, then might'st thou speak, then might'st thou tear thy hair and fall upon the ground as I do now, taking the measure of an unmade grave."
The Friar is trying to calm Romeo down, since Romeo is suicidal and desperate. Romeo tells him not to talk to him like that unless he is prepared to walk an hour in his shoes.
He certainly is surprised. Romeo has been moaning about how he is in love with Rosaline and now, all of a sudden, he is talking about marrying a totally different girl. The Friar says, "Holy Saint Francis! What a change is here? Is Rosaline, that thou didst love so dear so soon forsaken?"
The first thing the Nurse says about Romeo is that he is "the only son of your great enemy." Juliet hasn't even figured out how she feels about that, and the nurse appears to be hostile to the idea, so Juliet keeps her thoughts to herself until she can get into her pajamas and go out on her balcony to talk to herself. When she is clearer in her own mind about what her feelings are, then she tells the nurse.
Romeo believes Friar is too old and hasn't experienced love yet there fore he wont understand Romeos feelings.
I.Romeo is mad. He would rather be dead then be banished. He says that being banished from Verona is like being banished from the world.
because Friars aren't allowed to "love" a woman because they cannot marry.
