How do you make sand harden?
To make sand harden, first you need water. Without water, sand is very soft, and soft sand is horrible for making sand castles or any sand sculptures. But if you pour water on sand, then leave it alone for a few hours, it should harden all by itself. But even though the sand is hardened, it is not unbreakeable, so be careful.
Asked in Sedimentary Rock
Is sedimentary rock hard or soft?
Sedimentary rocks can be hard or soft. In the hard way it is shaped as a crystal structure. Sandstones are hard though. SO its hard and soft. Further answer Actually, sandstone may be hard or soft, depending on how it came about. And none are crystalline apart from the small sand crystals that are bound together to form the rock. Some sandstones are so hard they are good for building. But some are so soft you can wear them away with your finger. Although the sand particles that got deposited are themselves hard, they are glued together by different chemicals, some of which are very tenacious and make the resulting rock hard. But some are not and the rock is soft. Same with limestone, some is hard but some is very soft

When we fall on sand you get less hurt but when you fall on concrete you get more hurt Why?
sand is soft and concret is hard sand is not a solid and cocret is a solid so it hurts ******************* Both are solids but size could be different. Try landing on pulverized concrete and they should feel the same... Since the sand have tiny particles, they move and absorb the impact when you fall.

Asked in Red Eared Slider Turtle
What should you do for a baby red eared slider if it won't eat and its shell becomes soft?
If it won't eat and it's shell is soft, it isn't getting adequate heat and light. It requires UVA and UVB light to digest food. It must bask in the light and be completely out of water in order to dry its shell so it doesn't get soft. If you don't get it the proper heat and light soon, it will die. They can't survive for long without proper heating and lighting.
