they didnt get along well
Scout learned that her protector had been Boo Radley from Atticus Finch's explanation after the incident at the end of the novel where Boo saves Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell's attack. Atticus outlines Boo's actions and reveals his identity as the mysterious figure who has been looking out for them throughout the story.
Atticus thanks Boo for saving his children from Mr. Ewell.
Atticus, Jem and Sheriff Tate hid Boo Radley from Scout's view in chapter 16 of To Kill a Mockingbird. They did not want Scout to see Boo as they were concerned about how she would react.

Boo Radley
In chapter 8 Atticus learns about Jem and Scout communicating with Boo Radley through the knothole. Atticus tells the children not to tell anyone that they had seen and been in contact with boo.
After Atticus understands that Boo Radley, not Jem, killed Bob Ewell, Mr. Tate tells him that he intends to say Bob Ewell fell on his knife to spare Boo from becoming a town celebrity. Scout assures Atticus that Mr. Tate is right by saying that letting Boo become the center of attention of the town would be like shooting a mockingbird.
Scout sits in Atticus's lap near the end of Chapter 31 in "To Kill a Mockingbird," after the attack by Bob Ewell is thwarted by Boo Radley. This moment symbolizes Scout's newfound understanding and empathy towards Boo as she sees him in a different light.
Atticus knows that Scout and Jem sneak onto the Radley property and try to peek into Boo Radley's house at night. He also knows about Scout's fights with classmates at school, particularly with her cousin Francis. However, Atticus is understanding and patient, and he handles these situations with care and wisdom.
Atticus visits the Radley house to pay his respects upon the death of Mrs. Radley. Scout and Jem suspect that Boo caused her death and are eager to prove their theory. They are disappointed to learn from Atticus that she died of natural causes. Then Scout asks Atticus if he "saw Mr. Arthur." Atticus sternly replies, "I did not." That is all she hears about it.
Dill, Jem, Simon Finch, Atticus, John Hale Finch, Calpurnia, Mrs. Henry Lafayette Dubose, Mr. Radley, Boo Radley, Mrs. Radley, Mr. Conner, Miss Stephanie Crawford, Nathan Radley, and Scout are introduced in the first chapter.
