Okay, so one of the overarching themes in this story is censorship and making sure that people aren't exposed to the "wrong" things. So they lower the kindergarten age to make sure that from childhood children aren't exposed to things that they wouldn't want like reading or thinking why instead of how. Hope this helps.

In "Fahrenheit 451," society lowers the kindergarten age to ensure that children are indoctrinated at a younger age, making them more compliant with the government's controlling ideology. This early indoctrination helps mold children to become loyal citizens who do not question authority or think critically, perpetuating the oppressive nature of the society in the novel.

The entire novel is about censorship. People burn books in this novel, because the government is afraid that the people will gain too much knowledge and overpower them, therefore, they are censoring what the people are allowed to learn from.

Children usually start kindergarten at age 5. So some 5 year olds are in kindergarten. Others would still be in preschool or pre-kindergarten if their parents chose to send them (they are not part of compulsory education, kindergarten is the first required year of schooling).

Why does society lower the kindergarten age year after year?

Lowering the kindergarten age allows children to start their education earlier and potentially have more time to develop foundational skills. It may also align with developmental research showing the benefits of early childhood education. Average temperature ranges are from 23 degrees Celsius (73 degrees Fahrenheit) to 32 degrees Celsius (90 degrees Fahrenheit) all year. Since this is the entire year I would guess the summer average to be in the upper 20s lower 30s Celsius (in the 80s Fahrenheit)
