Well Down syndrome is causes by the 21st chromosome of a sex cell doubling, and so once fertilisation with the egg commences there will be 3 21st chromosomes. When you have 45 their is multiple things that can happen, the only consistent one is Turner Syndrome, which basically stunts puberty. This only happens in females and it is when they have X instead of XX.
It is called monosomy. An example is Turner Syndrome. A woman with Turner Syndrome has a missing or altered X chromosome, whereas a person with Down Syndrome has part or all of an extra 21st chromosome.
When an extra chromosome is present at pair 21 Downs Syndrome develops in the foetus. An amniocentisis test can be used during pregnancy to determine whether of not the foetus has Downs Syndrome.
Hope this answered your question!

Lack of a chromosome is caused by an accident during meiotic division.
Most common example of this is Turner syndrome where a female child has only
one X chromosome.
The absence of any chromosome other than the sex chromosome results
in a non viable offspring.
It depends which chromosome is missing I think if you have a missing chromosome 21, it's down syndrome.
That would be called Down Syndrome.
a person can only have 45 chromosomes if one of them was translocated to another one. its called a partial monosomy. the person would have a karyotype beginning similar to this if it was a female 45,xx,der. 45 stands for the chromosomes. xx stands for female. and der stands for translocated or rearrangement.

The organism is called abnormal. It only has 45 chromosomes and is a female. She has Turner syndrome, meaning no secondary sex characteristics will form. Also, the female is born sterile and can have no children. Her body will not develop curves and will stay like that of a child. However, this problem (the curves) can be solved with some prescribed hormones.
This occurs due to nondisjunction, in which one or more homologous pairs of chromosomes do not separate during anaphase I, or sister chromatids do not separate properly during anaphase II of meiosis. The resulting daughter cells (gametes) will have either 22 or 24 chromosomes. If the gamete with 22 chromosomes unites with a normal gamete with 23 chromosomes, the offspring will have 45 chromosomes (23 + 22). If the gamete with 24 chromosomes unites with a normal gamete, the offspring will have 47 chromosomes (23 + 24). These are usually lethal conditions.
A human zygote with 45 chromosomes may result from a chromosomal abnormality known as a monosomy, where one copy of a chromosome is missing. This condition is typically associated with severe developmental abnormalities and is often incompatible with life.

A karyotype is the number and appearance of chromosomes in the nucleus of a eukaryote cell. There are 46 chromosomes in a human karyotype. However, there are twenty-three pairs. In a karyotype, chromosomes are showed in pairs, because twenty-three are from one parent, and twenty-three are from another. In a cell, there are twenty-two pairs of chromosomes called autosomes, and one pair of sex chromosomes. The sex chromosomes are different in a male and a female. For a male, it is one x chromosome and one y chromosome. In a female, it is two x chromosomes. So, as a recap, there are 46 chromosomes. The only exceptions to this are autistic people. For them, there is usually a duplication or deletion of one chromosome. In other words, a person would have 47 or 45 chromosomes.
About 45 million people have seen this musical and loved it, some of the 45 million people have gone more than once.
Humans have basically 23 pairs of chromosomes while cats have 19 pairs of chromosomes. Humans: females= 46 X chromosome, males= 45 X chromosomes, 1 Y chromosome. Cats: Females =38 X chromosomes, m ales= 37 X chromosomes, 1 Y chromosome.
Tigers have 38 chromosomes.Tigers have 38 chromosomes.Tigers (Panthera tigris) have 38 chromosomes.
becauce it was rare
you just cant only if u subtract 45-0=45
