Temperature usually changes on account of heat energy entering or leaving an object. For example, radiation energy from the sun warms the ground in the day time, and infrared radiation emission from the earth cools it at night.

Temperature is a measure the of average kinetic energy of the atoms and molecules of the object with the temperature.

The radiant energy from our Sun, for example, is absorbed by whatever objects the sunlight hits. And in being absorbed, the radiant energy is converted into the kinetic energy of the atoms and molecules of those sunlit objects. In the popular world we call that kinetic energy heat. And we can use a thermometer or other temperature measuring device to gauge that heat.

Of course the Sun isn't the only source of heat and its attending temperature. The flame atop your stove can also cause the atoms and molecules in your favorite stew to increase their average kinetic energy. So your stew will get hot and tasty.

Bottom line...temperature happens because atoms and molecules of objects gain kinetic energy by various means and that raises the temperature of those objects.

It's mainly due to the weather and the type of climate conditions in the areas you live in and altitudes.

The environment and the atmosphere can change the temperature.
