The Amazon Rainforest is an important natural resource because it supplies a large amount of clean oxygen to the atmosphere. It is also important because many medications are made from the plants of the rainforest and many species of animals and plants are found only there.
There are many kinds of animals that live in the Amazon rainforest. Gorillas, lemurs, parrots, toucans, iguanas, boa constrictors, angelfish, dragonflies, and praying mantis are just a few of the many examples of animals that live in the Amazon rainforest.
It is possible for the Amazon Rainforest to be completely felled. This would cause great destruction in the area because many animals would lose there habitats. It would also be a problem for drug companies that make medicines because many of the plants in the rainforest are used for this purpose.
