The fact that Dodge sealed the lower drain holes with a sealing tape and a tendency for water to leak in around the door handle causes heavy rusting. If not too late you can remove the seal tape around the bottom of the door to allow any water to drain out. Spraying the inside of the door once a month will go a long way to preventing rust out.
