Why does the earth move but you don't feel it?

That's a very interesting question, and an important one. A full discussion would

get into almost all of "Newtonian" Physics, and some Relativistic ("Einsteinian") too.

Here's the basic idea ... maybe it's even enough to answer the question:

-- We don't feel motion. We only feel changes of motion.

-- A 'change' of motion means: A change of speed, or a change of direction.

-- As long as your speed stays the same and you move in a straight line, you don't feel it.

A couple of examples:

-- On a smooth elevator in a tall building, you feel it starting up, and you feel it

slowing down, but in the middle, while it's cruising, you don't feel it.

-- On a passenger jet at cruising altitude, flying over the ground at 600 miles per hour,

you can read a book or take a nap, just as easily as you can in your easy chair at home.
