Because the endometrium is an epithelial tissue. Collagen and elastic fibers are produced by Fibroblasts which are found in connective tissue not epitheliam. Does that answer your question? Or do you want a more indepth response?

Is tissue a collagen?

Collagen is a firorour connective tissue .

What are the two types of supporting connective tissues found in the body?

Loose Areolar CT: gel-like matrix with fibroblasts, macrophages, mast cells and collagen and elastic fibers, beneath epithelium, covering ventral organs, wraps & cushions organs.Adipose Tissue: closely packed adipocytes (fat-cells) Location = under skin (as subcutaneous layer), around kidneys and eyeballs, breasts, Functions = energy store, insulation, protection.Reticular CT: network of reticular fibers within loose ground substance and reticulocytes, Function = support.Dense Regular CT (White Fibrous CT), primarily collagen Location = tendons, ligaments, Poor blood supply = slow to no healing.Dense Irregular CT: primarily collagen fibers randomly arranged, Function = provides tensile strength.Elastic CT: primarily elastin fibers, Function = durability with stretch.Plus bone and blood are also considered as tissues.

About cartilage cells Iask why chondrocytes are embeded in the matrix is this to prevent these rounded cells from rupture if there is pressure on the cartilage?

Short answer- the chondrocytes are embedded in the matrix because matrix is what these cells produce, and there's no where else for it to go! So, basically, you've got it backwards, chondrocytes can be as smooshy and forgiving as a skin cell, so they don't need protection; they're there to provide protection in the form of cartilage to other organs or surfaces. Longer answer- Cartilage is composed of cells (chondrocytes) that live in little spaces (lacuna, lacunae for plural). These cells are the ones that create the matrix, which is further composed of collagen fibers, ground substance (proteoglycans mostly) and elastic fibers. The proportions of the above result in different characteristics of the material- more elastic fibers and fewer collagen fibers result in bendy cartilage, like you find in your nose and ears. Lots of collagen and proteoglycans results in harder tissue, as you would find in your windpipe (trachea) and between joints of your bones. Interestingly, cartilage is one of the few "avascular" tissues (no blood vessels) in the body- it survives by absorbing oxygen and excreting waste by diffusion through the matrix. This is one of the reasons it's so slow to heal, so take care of those sprained ankles!

Where are fibroblasts located?

Fibroblasts are cells within a body that make collagen, glycoproteins, reticular and elastic fibers. They are mainly found in connective tissues.

2 tissues found in the dermis?

The dermis contains dense irregular connective tissue with elastic fibers and collagen type I. It also contains very few fibroblast cells.

A major component of the intercellular material of bone is the protein?

Connective tissue proper fluid intercellular material and fibroblasts which secretes elastic and collagen fibers, as main cell type. Connective tissue is loosely packed cells, lots of intercellular material, and vascular.

Are collagen fibers visible to the naked eye?

no. what you are probably looking at (if you have injured yourself) is muscle fibers and fat cells.

What tissue type cells contained in extracellular matrix composed of collagen and elastin?

fibroblasts are the most common resident cells in ordinary connective tissue. Fibroblasts are responsible for secreting collagen and other elements of the extracellular matrix of connective tissue.fibroblasts

What tissue contains loose arrangement of the elastic and collagen fibers?

Reticular layerpapillary layer and reticular layerhave collagenic fibers, however most of abundant area would be the epidermis (as a whole)Unfortunately for them, but fortunately I'm here for you, the answer is Dermis. The dermis is composed of connective tissue containing mainly of collagen fibers and also elastic and reticular fibers. Also, contains connective tissue cells, blood vessels, sweat and sebaceous glands, hair follicles, nail root, nerve endings, and muscular tissues. WE WANT CORRECT ANSWERS ...(ANSWERS.COM) :)
