Heat of the gas is lost as work done by the gas.
freon is the gas used in refrigator for cooling purpose
In a refrigerator, electrical energy is converted into mechanical energy by a motor. The motor drives a compressor, and this compresses and heats the refrigerant. Mechanical energy is converted into thermal energy in this process. The hot refrigerant is cooled in the cooling coils behind or beneath the appliance, and the cooler gas is "sprayed" through an expansion valve connected to the cooling coils inside the unit. The releasing of the pressure of the refrigerant allows expansion, and with expansion comes cooling.
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-)
works by pumping refrigerant, a liquid chemical, through tubes in the cooling cabinet. The refrigerant evaporates there and pulls heat from the air. The gas is pumped out of the cabinet and into the compressor and condenser where the heat is expelled
Heating and cooling change the state of the matter. For example, at room temperature water is a liquid but if you heated it becomes steam; a gas. If you freeze it it becomes ice; a solid. Hope it helps xx
CFC gas is used for cooling refrigerator.

The gas used in refrigerator for cooling are :- Ammonia used as a coolant and water, ammonia and hydrogen gas to create a continuous cycle for the ammonia.

The refrigerator motor is a sealed unit and can not be opened. If the unit is not cooling it might be low on gas, a refrigerator technician has the equipment to test to see if it is low on gas and he will be able to recharge the system.
because while cooling of gas in adiabatic expansion process , as it is a reversible procces the heat is lost while reversible work
'liquid to gas' at the internal cooling site (expansion) and 'gas to liquid' transition at the compressor site.
Condesor- cools the liquid formed gas after compressor compresses. After condensor it pass through the expansion valve, then again liquid formed gas expanses to gas form and produses cooling .this cooled gas then passes through the evaporator coils
A refrigerant in gas form HFC-134a is generally the cooling agent used in modern refrigerators.Older models used Chloro-Fluoro-Carbon (CFC), but it was found to be harmful to the environment. When HFC-134a is compressed, it heats up. It passes through the warm coils on the outside of the refrigerator and passes its heat into the air in the room though a process known as thermodynamics.Thermodynamics is when a hot and cold substance are in close proximity to one another; the cooler substance will get warmer, and the hot substance will get cooler. As it cools under pressure, the gas becomes a liquid. After cooling and becoming a liquid, the HFC-134a passes through a tiny hole into an expansion chamber. This expansion chamber releases the pressure on the substance quickly, turning it back into a gas and causing it to cool rapidly. The extremely cold substance is now pumped into the freezer section of the refrigerator unit and is piped through the walls of the refrigerator as it slowly transfers cold to the refrigerator and draws heat out of the compartment.
