You have bad flow threw the filler tube, there is a hole near the top of the tube for air to excape while filling check to see that it is not plugged up with dirt or some other matter.
It could be something with the pump itself, or you are going over the limit in what you paid for gas.
You pump it in as a liquid
# remove fuel from gas tank # remove fuel tank (all vent , fill, fuel lines and electric lines have to be removed before removing tank) # remove fuel pump from top of tank # install new fuel pump # replace tank and fill # check for leaks
If you are talking about a new fuel pump, yes all you do is fill the tank, no priming needed. If you are talking about a pump that has failed, then no.
If it is a small amount of water add a can of Heet to the tank and fill it with gasoline. If it has allot of water you will need to pump all fuel out of the tank, add a can of Heet and fill the tank.
Pump 'A' can fill 1/6 of the tank in one hour. 1/6 is the same as 2/12 Pump 'B' can drain 1/12 of the tank in one hour. If both pumps are running at the same time, then in one hour 2/12 get filled and 1/12 gets drained, and the net effect is 1/12 getting filled in that hour. If the tank is initially empty and both pumps start at the same time, then the tank will fill in 12 hours. *edit* It takes six hours if pump B is left off.
Probably not the tank but the fill tube, or fuel lines coming from the fuel pump
Fuel pump gasket (in tank) not replaced properly?
You don't "fill up" the water pump. The water pump is just a pump that moves coolant throughout the engine cooling system. You add coolant at the radiator or the coolant recovery tank.
Fill the tank up with just a few gallons and hope the fuel pump didnt burn out
you open the gas tank lid, take off the cap and insert the gas pump..wtf
Does the gas pump keep shutting off ? If so , try putting the gas pump nozzle all the way in and then pull it back about 1 inch . A gas station attendent told me that when the gas pump kept shutting off when I was trying to fill my Ford Explorer gas tank , it works for me
