The functions of blood are:
1. Transportation of oxygen.
2. The fighting and prevention of diseases.
3. Transport of digested food to all parts of the body.
The heart moves ('pumps') the blood to all parts of the body. Without a heart, our blood may not be able to move and carry out the functions I mentioned above.
Hope this helped:)
To pump your blood

A: to pump the blood around our body
From the heart to the body (in this order) - arteries, arterioles, capillaries. From the body to the heart (in this order) - capillaries, venuals, veins
Veins carry blood back to the heart while arterys carry blood away into the body
pump the blood throw the body
You need to go to the doctor immediately and tell him/her!!!
they need the heart to pump them
Only if you're hooked up to a mechanical heart or a heart bypass machine.Humans need their hearts to pump blood throughout the body. If the heart fails to pump, the person will die. Sometimes, an artificial pump or a heart transplant can keep a person alive, but both have problems with the body rejecting the new heart as "foreign".
Actually, if you think about it the job of a heart is to pump blood throughout the body, the constant need of pumping this blood requires the strength and endurance to continuously pump without end, thus you can only imagine the need for strong muscles a heart may have.

the heart pump blood all around your body. if you damage your lungs your heart will have to pump harder which will cause you to be tired and your heart will be working really hard. some people may need to use a machine almost half a day to help them pump their blood at a decent rate because their heart was to weak to do it on its own.
